About
Valor Christian High School was established in 2005 with the goal of creating a Christian community unlike any other in Colorado. Valor is a Christian faith community that operates primarily through groups of individuals who assemble regularly for communal worship. Valor accomplishes its mission by regularly convening groups (or congregations) of individuals to engage in Bible-centered devotional and educational worship activities in accordance with Valor’s Christian religious beliefs.
Valor’s founders determined that Valor would be decidedly Christian, dedicated to impart the Christian mind and a Christian ethic through grace and truth and would take seriously the biblical encouragement that “unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1 NIV), thus infusing every aspect of student and community life with prayer.
Consistent with these goals, Valor’s vision is to prepare tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ. Its mission is to provide a purpose-driven college preparatory program, within a vibrant Christ-centered environment that empowers students to discover their passions and to develop their unique gifts and abilities while growing in wisdom, knowledge, leadership, faith and service. Valor conducts its activities primarily on its beautiful 35-acre campus in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Approximately 1,200 students and 200+ faculty and staff call themselves Valor Eagles.
Valor operates as a Christian community and holds itself out as “Decidedly Christian” which means that Valor seeks to honor Jesus Christ in all that we do and all that we are to the glory of God; and seeks first and foremost to please God, bring praise to God’s name, and fulfill the vision God has placed before us. Students and families in the Valor Christian community benefit from Valor’s religious commitments and mission in every aspect of their shared experience.
Valor exists to defend and advance a Christian worldview based on the premise that God is the Sovereign Creator of humankind, and therefore all areas of inquiry are beneficial for edification. Valor looks at all of the learning and life through the following truths of scripture and teaches that the facts upon which Christianity rests are found in the Scriptures and Christian doctrine, which inform and make up the framework of the Christian worldview.

Accreditation and Accolades
National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence
In 2015 we were honored to be named a National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education. This award is the highest national honor a school can receive. More recently, in 2021, we were named a National Blue Ribbon School again, a rare distinction for schools. As a private school, Valor is recognized for its overall academic excellence and breadth of co-curricular offerings and opportunities. We are deeply honored to have received this award, and grateful to our distinguished faculty who helped us achieve this esteemed recognition.
ACSI, Cognia & CESA
We are fully accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and were selected in 2015 as one of the first schools in the world to achieve ACSI Exemplary Accreditation status. Valor is also fully accredited with Cognia, the world’s largest education community, representing nearly 15 million students in 23,000 schools in 65 countries. ACSI and Cognia operate under a co-accreditation agreement allowing Valor to possess accreditation through both associations. Valor is also fully accredited with and a Charter Member of the Council on Educational Standards & Accountability (CESA).
Pursuit of Excellence
To have an impact in our world, our contributions must reflect the very best of Christ-centered thinking and commitment. Through the pursuit of excellence, Valor students will be well-equipped to influence the world around them. This is not a pursuit of perfection, but rather a recognition that we want to offer God our best, and that influence in our culture requires quality and excellence to be effective. Through this pursuit, we believe we can offer restoration and hope to a world that needs Jesus Christ.
Our Student-Focused Team
Our team is called to serve the Lord by serving our students. We want to walk hand-in-hand with our students and help them with their daily academic and co-curricular pursuits while encouraging and supporting them in their walk with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to love our students well, coming alongside them throughout their Valor journey and beyond.
Faith is a Journey
We recognize that students and families are at different points in their faith journey, and it is important to us that any family considering Valor be open to the claims of Christ. We ask every student to be willing to consider the truth of the Bible and that the teachings of Jesus Christ are given a fair hearing. We expect students to refrain from anything that would discourage other students from doing the same. We remain open to different faith backgrounds, students who are considering their faith for the first time, and students who haven't grown up in the church.
