- Biblical Studies
Valor students in Biblical Leadership heard from guest speakers about their career paths and how God plays a role in their everyday lives.
The Biblical Leadership endorsement desires to support students by guiding them within specific areas of their passions and vocational leading—missional emphasis, pastoral emphasis, theological/educational emphasis, etc.
The Biblical Leadership endorsement provides students with advanced Biblical engagement, experiential and practical learning through involvement in a defined ministry and leadership context, impactful service opportunities, and a capstone project. Through this, students will see who the Lord has made them to be, gain life enduring knowledge (mentally and experientially) for the purpose of living as transformational leaders, who reflect Christ.
The Biblical Leadership endorsement values that students live out the life the Lord has for them. To that end, the Biblical Leadership endorsement hopes to provide students with tools to grasp the scriptures and begin practicing who God has called them to be and what they are learning. This is done through (1) in-depth exploration and reflection of Scripture, (2) experiential learning opportunities, (3) implementation of skills and knowledge, (4) effective service, and (5) leading in a Christ-like manner. The hope is that students will be thoroughly trained and equipped as biblical leaders in God’s world.
Discover who the Lord made you to be—your characteristics, skills, and giftings—and who you are becoming, so that you accomplish great things.
Gain knowledge as you strive to become competent in a specific biblical, theological, missional, or leadership field that transforms your mind and renews the heart.
Be prepared for opportunities to lead like Christ, in a transformative manner, so that you will seek excellence in all that you do.
Each endorsement program at Valor entails a specific number of what we have called experiential units (EUs) to achieve the designation. The intent for the Biblical Leadership endorsement is that students complete the endorsement requirements primarily through coursework, experiential engagement, leadership opportunities, and mentor/mentee relationships. Through these opportunities students earn Experiential Units culminating in a rich body of work.
