Summer Reading

With summer just around the corner, we have compiled books for English and Humanities course readings. Check out an assigned reading book from the center display in the library and request an extended due date of August 23.

Did you know you can borrow any book from the library over the summer? And earn perks? Grab our summer reading challenge worksheet during checkout to participate in our Free-Range Reading initiative. The library will not be open during the summer so so we encourage you to make selections prior to the end of the school year.

It may seem like summers are packed with activities, yet, it’s simple to squeeze in page-turners during a flight or long drive. We have your beachside reads and your cozy-by-the-campfire reads, or whatever matches your summer scene.

Audiobooks aplenty!

Did you know that audiobooks are great for reading on the go? Audiobooks allow you to read anywhere, anytime! Summer is the perfect time to take a break from your routine and engage in this mode of reading.

Our audiobook collection rarely has holds, unlike public libraries. Download the Sora app and use your school email credentials to sign in. Can’t find the title you want to borrow? Let us know by sending a request here

Things To Know: Just six minutes of reading a day can reduce stress by 68%! That’s more than other relaxation exercises.
