Biblical Studies & Christian Leadership

The Biblical Leadership endorsement desires to support students by guiding them within specific areas of their passions and vocational leading—missional emphasis, pastoral emphasis, theological/educational emphasis, etc.

Program Overview

The Biblical Leadership endorsement provides students with advanced Biblical engagement, hands-on service in a specific area, experiential and practical learning through involvement in a defined ministry and leadership context, impactful service opportunities, and a capstone project. Through this, students will see who the Lord has made them to be, gain life enduring knowledge (mentally and experientially) for the purpose of living as transformational leaders, who reflect Christ.

Biblical Leadership Requirements:

Academic Courses: 3.0 required Academic Credits

  • Life of Christ: 1.0
  • Steps of Paul: 1.0
  • Senior Bible: 1.0

Experiential Engagement: 8.0 required Experiential Units (EUs)

  • 6.0 required EUs

    • Bible Elective (tailored towards the area of focus): 0.5 per semester

    • Endorsement Cohort (required for two years): 0.5 per year

    • Mentor-Mentee Training (required for two years): 0.5 per year

    • Trip:

      • Biblical Leadership Overseas Tour (Israel, Costa Rica, etc.): 1.0

      • Discovery Trip: 1.0 for international and 0.5 for local/national

    • Student Leadership Involvement: 1.0 per class and 0.5 per approved project

    • Capstone: 1.0

A minimum of 2.0 EUs from additional opportunities:

  • Any of the above required EUs
  • Biblical/Church Historical Language(s) (Latin, Hebrew, Greek, etc.): 0.5 per semester
  • Impactful Service: 0.5 per 20 hours
  • Training and work in a non- or for-profit organization: 0.5 per 10 hours
