Seniors return to campus on the evening before the first day of the new school year. They enjoy a BBQ while reconnecting with each other. Making posters to welcome the freshman the next morning and creating amazing designs on their white painter’s pants are just a couple of the fun activities to be had.

Make sure your favorite senior is featured in the 2023-24 yearbook. Congratulate your special graduate in the yearbook in your owns words and pictures! • There is no fee for Seniors who just want their yearbook photo.
• The sitting is 15 minutes, but Seniors should allow 45 minutes total as they will choose their yearbook photo following the shoot.
• Ladies should wear a tube top or a tank where the straps can be lowered.
• Gentlemen should wear a white button-up shirt. The tie and jacket are provided.
• Photos need to be taken by Friday, October 27.

A beautiful way to begin the first morning of their senior year, students gather at a local park to watch the sunrise together and be reminded of God’s faithfulness in their lives.

A warm and enthusiastic welcome awaits our arriving freshman and their parents as seniors gather along the carpool drive lane to joyously greet the newest Valor Eagles. 

Seniors spend time connecting with the freshman on their first day of school, encouraging them as they begin their journey, sharing with them about life at Valor, and inviting them to make new friends and to get involved. 

Seniors and their parents will meet one time each semester to receive important information from Valor Academic leaders about events and highlights of senior year and how to plan for them. 

Each spring, the senior class enjoys a fun-filled 3-day retreat with their classmates and members of Valor’s staff in the mountains of Colorado. The time spent together as a class is truly memorable and noted by many as one of the most impactful events of their senior year.

Seeing the young ladies in their stunning dresses and the young men in their finest attire, prom is a night not to be missed! After an evening of dinner and dancing, students change into more comfortable clothes for an after-prom celebration hosted by Valor’s Parent Association. 

As finals are complete and their time at Valor comes to an end, the week of Commencement is a special time for all seniors as they prepare for their special ceremony later in the week. Yearbook signing, an end-of-year luncheon, and Commencement rehearsals are a few of the things that take place ahead of the big day. 

A celebrated tradition since the beginning, the senior luncheon is an opportunity for the entire school to honor the senior class and their parents one last time before Commencement. Memories are shared of the senior retreat and announcements are made regarding academic honors. A special send-off awaits at the end. 

Valor’s Commencement is the capstone event of the school year. The graduating seniors are honored and presented with their diplomas. For the final time, a blessing is prayed over the seniors as they venture into the next chapter of their lives. We are all so proud of these amazing young men and women!
