On November 30 2023, Kelly was honored by the Highlands Ranch Rotary Club for his academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and community service. This is an incredible honor to be chosen out of many outstanding high school students in the community.

Kelly has a sincere and deep desire to learn, think critically about the world around him, and engage in discussions on philosophical texts, world events, and foreign relations. His teachers describe him as someone who engages in the classroom, is diligent with each assignment, and relishes the opportunity to continue discussions after class. Kelly puts his knowledge to use in a measured and meaningful way. He is a peer tutor, part of the Speech and Debate Team, Mock Trial, and helped start the Model UN Club. While he has much to contribute, Kelly is also an excellent listener who approaches conversation with an intent to learn rather than with an agenda to deliver.

Kelly describes himself as a practicing Christian who desires to be “all in” in every area of his life. He leads VBS, youth group, and life groups through his church and participates in Kerygma, a Competitive Sermon-Speaking Club. He has volunteered over 130 hours, primarily through Manna Ministries.

Kelly can see himself studying political science, government, or international relations with the current thought of attending law school one day. Kelly is an incredible young man; he is extremely respectful and grateful for his parents, and he deeply appreciates his education at Valor and his relationships with his teachers. While Kelly has earned an impressive GPA, it is through his character that he stands out in the ways that matter most.
