Valor is pleased to announce that we have three National Merit Semifinalists! Valor students Cadin Dinneen (‘24), Carter Himango (‘24), and Ethan Cheung (‘24) have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists for their outstanding scores on the PSAT/NMSQTⓇ. These three students scored in the top 1% of all juniors nationwide.
The next step for these students will be to submit an application for the National Merit Finalist consideration. They must also take the SAT or ACT and earn a score that confirms their 2022 PSAT/NMSQT performance. About 95 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and approximately half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit ScholarⓇ title.
