Two Valor students who are competitive equestrians recently earned ribbons in the United States Hunter Jumper Association! Megan Holliday (Class of 2024) and Ava Uhrig (Class of 2026) each qualified to compete on a four-person team at the Associations' West Coast Jumper Championships in Temecula, California last month.

Valor Equestrians Earn Honors

Two Valor students who are competitive equestrians recently earned ribbons in the United States Hunter Jumper Association! Megan Holliday (Class of 2024) and Ava Uhrig (Class of 2026) each qualified to compete on a four-person team at the Associations' West Coast Jumper Championships in Temecula, California last month.

The Championships are held by region and consist of both team and individual competition. Megan and Ava were part of the team which includes Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. They competed against all western states (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, California and Nevada).  

The championships were held over four days of competitions at a height of 1.20 - 1.25 meters (3'9 - 4'1 feet). Megan and her horse, Revelation, and Ava and her horse, Kleiner Clooney, won Silver in their team competition out of 6 teams. Megan and Revelation also won Silver in the individual competition out of 22 competitors. Congratulations to Valor's equestrian athletes, Megan and Ava!
