February Chapel Series – Unity in Christ

I’m so excited about what is coming up in Chapel for the month of February. Our student leadership team has been very active in putting together a four-week series on “Unity”. We are going to be blessed with messages from Denise Watson-Schmidt (Mr. Tige Watson’s mother,) Gavin Sawchuk ’22, Michael Jennings, our former Director of Valor Admissions, and lastly, Jesca Gilbert ’21, student VP of Diversity.

I cannot wait to hear what God has laid on the hearts of each of these leaders. It is no secret that these are trying times in the life of our world, and there are so many lines drawn that seek to divide rather than unify us. Our speakers will be challenging each of us as to how we can walk together as the body of Christ, and in the image of God. I’m reminded of Philippians 2:3-4, which says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
