Joyful 'Spirit of Sharing' Week
Students and faculty got into the spirit of Christmas this week with fun activities and theme dress days while focusing on giving. The Student Leadership team did an excellent job planning and promoting these as well as a fun pep assembly on Friday.
In addition to the fun spirit days, generosity -- the spirit of sharing -- soared this week. The donations were the best ever! Our community of students, families and faculty brought in more than 300 pieces of winter clothing items for two organizations; 100 pieces of clothes for a men's shelter; 400 toys for Denver Dream Foundation to go to families in need; 500 food and staple items for SECOR Cares ministry, and 900 individually wrapped snack donations for ALL STARS ministry.
Message from the Student Leadership team:
"Thank you students, parents, teachers, staff and community for all you donated towards supporting people in our city! You are amazing. Continue your spirit of sharing throughout this Christmas season as we reflect on what we have been given in the birth of Jesus Christ!"
