Spiritual Well-Being

Spiritual formation at Valor envelops the students, staff and faculty in a unified vision of Christ-like character development in all pursuits. It is a lifestyle developed, understood, and lived out daily in our school community.

Weekly Chapel Service

We are a decidedly Christian school and chapel is considered the inflection point of the week. We meet for chapel on Wednesdays and seek to present an opportunity for students to connect with Christ. There will be a time of worship, a message with practical application about pertinent issues in their life and time spent examining the scriptures. We view chapel as a key component at Valor to help encourage students to continually grow in their walk with Christ. While each student is on their own individual journey of faith, we view chapel as a corporate gathering where all are welcome.

Senior Prayer Partners

At the beginning of the school year, each faculty and staff member chooses a senior student whom they will commit to pray for throughout the year. Prayer partners generally meet on a regular basis throughout the year, oftentimes during the school day over lunch or during the student’s off-period. Given the challenges that sometimes come with the senior year experience, it is reassuring for our seniors to know that they have someone who has chosen to come alongside them and faithfully lift them up in prayer.

Life Groups

The heart behind life groups is to provide a place for students to do life together, alongside faculty and staff members that mentor and disciple them throughout their high school career. Our motto for what we do with life groups is “have fun and grow in Christ”. Each group really makes it their own experience. Some dive deep into the word of God, some play games on the lawn, some do Discovery trips together. The idea is that each student is “seen, heard, known, cared for, and senses a feeling of belonging to something greater than themselves" throughout their four years of high school in their own special family.

Student-led Bible Studies and Worship Nights

Join with fellow students diving deeper into studying the Word of God or attending a worship night on campus with your classmates.

Sport As Worship theme in Athletics

Our hope for our athletes is to see a transformation guided by the Holy Spirit that draws every one of our athletes into a lifelong relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Service Oriented Missions and Outreach

Valor offers service opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally with faith-based organizations whose primary focus is serving poor and marginalized communities around the globe.

Mental Well-being

As a community of committed Christians, our students’ mental, emotional and physical health is of the utmost importance to us. We seek to offer students a Christ-centered approach to mental health and healing in the midst of challenge, offering hope and restoration for students needing an extra level of care.

Social Emotional Services

Social Emotional Services (SES) at Valor is dedicated to the academic, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth of Valor students. It is staffed by Christian licensed mental health professionals to provide our students with highly skilled, thoughtful, and compassionate care that reflects the hope and love of Jesus.

Sources of Strength

Sources of Strength is one of the first suicide prevention programs that uses Peer Leaders to enhance protective factors associated with reducing suicide at the school population level. We help students connect and identify their sources of strength and train peer leaders who can come alongside and empower each other to engage in life giving activities which promote overall wellness.

Physical Well-Being

We believe that God created each student uniquely and beautifully to serve Him and use their gifts and talents for His glory. He has a purpose and plan for each student’s life.

Valor seeks to provide an environment in which students can thrive physically. Nutritious food offerings during the day, outdoor spaces on campus to enjoy the beautiful Colorado sunshine, athletic facilities in which to engage in physical activity, and encouragement for a day of Sabbath rest on Sundays, are just a few of the opportunities we believe students have to pursue their physical well-being.

Flik Food Service

Students are provided with a variety of nutrient-dense foods needed to thrive and fuel their bodies. The freshest food offerings are prepared to encourage healthy eating and wellness.

Athletic Facilities

We encourage all students to enjoy the beautiful training facilities on the Valor campus. The school’s performance program is not just for athletes but is available for all students who want to engage in a regular fitness routine.

Safety & Security

We strive to create a safe environment in which every student is free to learn, thrive, and flourish. We seek to take a more comprehensive and holistic approach to our safety and security program elements.

Social Well-Being

Valor’s mission statement is clear that within a vibrant Christ-centered environment, we want students to be empowered to discover their passions and develop their unique gifts and abilities.

Opportunities abound for students to get connected, develop friendships, and engage with others who share common interests. From after-school clubs to co-curricular offerings in athletics and arts, as well as humbly serving the least of these, we encourage students to step outside their comfort zones and get plugged into a community. Doing life together is always more fun and satisfying.

Co-Curricular Opportunities

Plug into an area of passion, make new friends and get connected to Valor! Many fun and unique opportunities exist.

Valor offers a variety of clubs and activities in which students may participate, enhancing their intellectual, spiritual, physical and social skills.
