A Wicked Master Class

Students in the Conservatory Dance and Musical Theatre classes were treated to master classes this month with industry professional, Lauren Hamilton. Lauren performed in the Broadway, Chicago, and national tour companies of the award-winning show Wicked. Dance students learned the choreography taught at the Broadway auditions for Wicked, and our musical theatre students worked on establishing their characters as they learned the original choreography to the song 'One Short Day'.

Lauren also took time to share her faith journey with the students and what it is like to be the only Christian in the cast of a show. She told of times when God's provision was so apparent in her life and dance career, and petitioned them to not confine their talents in just Christian spheres but to be lights in the darkness.
