Ella Plourde in Times Square

Senior Ella Plourde hit the Big Apple this summer as a nominee for The Jimmy Awards, the national award show for high school musical theatre students.

Nominees spent 10 days at Juilliard and worked with Broadway professionals to improve their craft. "We worked 12 hours a day to put together a show that we would all later perform at the Minskoff Theatre in New York City," explained Ella.

"I am so grateful to the Valor theatre team who have worked with me throughout high school to get me to where I am," she said.  "I couldn’t have done it without them and I have learned so much about the art of performing from them."
