Valor Competes at State Thespian Convention
The Valor Thespian Troupe attended the State Thespian Convention in December. Seven students received Overall Superiors in their individual events, qualifying them for the International Thespian Convention this summer at Indiana University.
Congratulations to Zach Buchold, Luke Larson, Natalie Xikes, Lance Kawasaki, Sophia Andrzejewski, and Abbie Bremer in the Musical Theatre category and Dawson Chu in Film.

Valor's student-led journalism program is being revamped. A new entity, Eagle Eye Media, was created from the aspiration of Valor’s journalism faculty and students to expand Valor’s media program and reach.

The Red Carpet was rolled out for recording arts students and the community to celebrate their original works and those of their peers! This grammy-style night is a fun tradition that provides a showcase of some of Valor's top student works as they celebrate the songwriting process.

Senior Ivy Fox is just as comfortable in the worship band classroom and the painting studio. The worship band keyboardist and visual artist was asked by Mr. Trotter, Mrs. Timmons, and Mr. Johnson to paint a mural in the worship band room to inspire.

Senior Ella Plourde hit the Big Apple this summer as a nominee for The Jimmy Awards, the national award show for high school musical theatre students.

In the same week the world celebrated women in science, Victoria McBroom ’21 earned Best of Show in the Valor Arts Show for her animatronics piece she affectionately calls Crouton.
