Valor student leaders wrote more than 600 personalized thank you cards and delivered them to each nurse at Parker Adventist Hospital last week.

Pulse broadcast students did some great story telling this month in their reporting of Valor students’ giving spirits! They report on a special surprise for beloved Valor staff member Joe Colon.

Valor is starting its third year with Esports, a sport that was recently added by Colorado High School Athletic Association (CHSAA.)

Our student leadership team has been very active in putting together a four-week series on “Unity”. 

As the semester comes to an end, it only seems appropriate to look back on the many blessings Valor students, faculty and staff enjoyed during an unprecedented fall 2020.

Each year, Valor’s Student Leadership Board brings in the Christmas season with a week of holiday spirit days, special treats and activities, and most importantly – donation drives for local nonprofits.

This past Wednesday, November 11, Valor was honored to host Chief Special Warfare Operator Jeffrey Benson, who has served our country in the United States Navy Seal Teams. Chief Benson’s Veterans Day message encouraged students to follow Christ’s call for their lives.

There’s no way to thank our country’s military veterans for everything they sacrifice for our freedom, but on this Veterans Day, Valor is taking the opportunity to show our thankfulness for the service members in our community.

Like a picture on our smartphone, similarly, we are created in God’s image. Over the next few weeks, students will hear how who we are and what we do represents Jesus Christ in the world.

Spanish teacher Ashley Loaiza found herself preparing for more than just foreign language training in the fall of 2020. As Valor’s new Student Leadership Coordinator, she also oversees the 12 senior leaders, along with over 80 other students who participate in student leadership.

Lucy Sarkissian ‘23 started her own company – Cupcakes 4 Change – this summer during the pandemic as an outlet and platform to share her story.
